I've been in the real estate business for 7 years. Before that I was a producer in advertising, scheduling, estimating and most importantly negotiating the right price. I brought this experience over to real estate.
I work with a lot of first time home buyers. I really enjoy matching the buyer up with the right home, in the right area for them for the right price. I don't think anyone should get in over their heads with a mortgage they can't afford. I think it's important to have a first time buyer pre-approved before we start looking for a home. There's nothing worse than falling in love with a home you can't afford. I try to make sure that doesn't happen.
